That night, I had a dream. It was horrific dream. One middle aged lady came in my dream. First time in life, I saw female face in furious mood. I felt like Maa Mahakali herself stood in front of me. Her expressions were more than enough to tremble my soul even in virtual space and time. What was astonishing? She uttered single sentence ”How dare you?” and period.
Pin drop silence for 30 seconds before I heard wake up call. Luckily I could recall my dream as well as last night’s post-dinner talk with friends which I generally consider responsible for causing relevant dreams.
That day at office, during tea time:
“I think you should invest in silver. It has worked well as Return of investment for me.”
“No, I think you should invest in gold. Demand will rise with increasing middle class.”
“Forget shares, silver and gold. You must invest in land. More tangible, larger than your imagination & need of the bleak future. You have got many options. Buy the land, stir up its need and sell it in double price. Again buy some more land, sell. Buy. Sell. Buy, sell. Bombshell of wealth. Unlimited wealth transactions!”
“Aha…that seems convincing. Ok done deal. I am going to invest in land.”
That day in evening, I tried to decipher dream and what I interpreted was self-realization. That furious woman was no one but my mother!
Hmmm…”How dare you using me, your mother, as commodity? Where is your love for mother? Where is that song you wrote about me in your college days? Those endless talks about loyalty and love for me? Do I miss anything here? Despite giving you so many ways to earn with my full support and self-sacrifice, I feel utterly disgusting when you, my children start using me as commodity.
Wasn’t crop cultivated by me enough to satisfy your hunger? Wasn’t gold and silver that you extracted from me enough to satisfy your desires? Wasn’t it enough that I gave you shelter and saved from adversaries of nature? Am I mere piece of land for you who can be bought and sold in market like any other mineral, metal & man (slaves)? Why do you want to exploit those who are in need (farmers, middle class in search of dream home) by increasing my imaginary value just by sentiments and earn/invest black money?” – That’s what Mother Earth spoke to me when I tried to correlate my talk with friends and furious lady in dream.
I realized my mistake and recalled prayer taught by mother about mother earth 20 years back:
समुद्रवसने देवी
Forgive me Mother Earth for touching you with my feet. O Mother, my salutations to you, who is covered by the oceans and mountains, and who is the wife of Bhagawan Vishnu (i.e. Goddess Lakshmi).
I am sorry Mother Earth.
PS: This was my lowly imagination in uncontrolled dream. Mother Earth cannot be furious. She loves everyone of us without any prejudice. Don’t worry. Continue with selfish exploitation of motherly love.

Desire, the feeling that accompanies an unsatisfied state, an inclination to want things, can Never Be Fulfilled. Bad (Life-endangering) desires can be destroyed only by promoting good (life-enriching) desires.
Krushn said: Born of the activating attribute of Nature (rajo-guna), it is desire, it is anger, (that is the impelling force)—full of unappeasable craving and great evil: know this (two-sided passion) to be the foulest enemy here on earth. Gita 3.37
As fire is enveloped by smoke, as a mirror by dust, as an embryo by the womb, so this (wisdom) is enveloped by that (desire). Gita 3.38
O Son of Kunti (Arjuna)! the constant enemy of wise men is the unslakable flame of desire, by which wisdom is concealed. Gita 3.39
The senses, mind, and intellect are said to be desire’s formidable stronghold; through these, desire deludes the embodied soul by eclipsing its wisdom. Therefore, O Best of the Bharata Dynasty (Arjuna)! first discipline the senses, then destroy desire, the sinful annihilator of wisdom and Self-realization.
Gita 3.40-41
Three types of desires described in Gita
Peaceful (satvic) – desire dominated by satva guna is like fire being choked with smoke. A slight breeze is enough to remove the smoke and bring out the flame in all its glory.
Restless (rajasic) – desire gushes out from a restless and selfish urge to acquire, possess and enjoy the sense-objects. This desire demands strenuous attempts for its removal.
Low (tamasic) – To remove the foetus in the womb, not only is effort required, but efflux of time as well. Time and self-preparations are necessary to eliminate the deep-rooted tamasic desire.
Here is interesting Sanskrit words explaining different desires. You decide which one is bad and which one is good for you.
Intention or desire to make or do or perform
२) प्रपित्सु : पाने की इच्छा रखने वाला - desirous of entering upon/Desire to capture something
Desire to snatch
Desire to live
Desire to swim
Desirous of freedom
Wishing or intending to requite
Desirous to fight
Desire to perform Yagna(act of worship or
devotion)
Desire for service
Desire to be tolerant
For sanctification of the ego, yogis perform actions solely with (the instruments of action) the body, the mind, discrimination, or even the senses, forsaking attachment (disallowing ego involvement, with its attachments and desires). Gita 5.11

Movie ‘Source Code’ was delight watch after ‘Inception’. Must watch for those who fall into one or more categories mentioned below:
1) Researcher doing deciphering of Patanjali’s Yogsutra, Vasshisth’s Yog Vashishth and some of such gem scriptures written by ancient scientists
2) Quantum Physics researcher/learner
3) Brain & Neuroscience researcher/learner
Go and watch movie with below primer on Quantum Physics from book called YOG VASHISHTH
Time
Infinite consciousness held in itself the notion of a unit of time equal to one-millionth of the twinkling of an eye: and from this evolved the timescale right upto an epoch consisting of several revolutions of the four ages, which is the life-span of one cosmic creation. Infinite consciousness itself is uninvolved in these, for it is devoid of rising and setting (which are essential to all time-scales), and it devoid of a beginning, middle and end. [3.61]
Space
There are three types of space—the psychological space, the physical space and the infinite space of consciousness. [3.17]
The infinite space of individed consciousness is that which exists in all, inside and outside… The finite space of divided consciousness is that which created divisions of time, which pervades all beings… The physical space is that in which the elements exist. The latter two are not independent of the first. [3.97]
Other universes/wormholes. I saw within [the] rock [at the edge of the universe] the creation, sustenance and the dissolution of the universe…I saw innumerable creations in the very many rocks that I found on the hill. In some of these creation was just beginning, others were populated by humans, still others were far ahead in the passage of their times. [6.2.86]
I perceived within each molecule of air a whole universe. [6.2.92]
Matter
In every atom there are worlds within worlds. [3.20]
Experience
Everyone has two bodies, the one physical and the other mental. The physical body is insentient and seeks its own destruction; the mind is finite but orderly. [4.10]
I have carefully investigated, I have observed everything from the tips of my toes to the top of my head, and I have not found anything of which I could say, ‘This I am.’ Who is ‘I’? I am the all-pervading consciousness which is itself not an object of knowledge or knowing and is free from self-hood. I am that which is indivisible, which has no name, which does not undergo change, which is beyond all concepts of unity and diversity, which is beyond measure. [5.52]
Mind
The same infinite self conceives within itself the duality of oneself and
the other. [3.1]
Thought is mind, there is no distinction between the two. [3.4]
The body can neither enjoy nor suffer. It is the mind alone that experiences. [3.115]
The mind has no body, no support and no form; yet by this mind is everything consumed in this world. This is indeed a great mystery. He who says that he is destroyed by the mind which has no substantiality at all, says in effect that his head was smashed by the lotus petal… The hero who is able to destroy a real enemy standing in front of him is himself destroyed by this mind which is [non-material].
The intelligence which is other than self-knowledge is what constitutes the mind. [5.14]
Millions of universes appear in the infinite consciousness like specks of dust in a beam of light. In one small atom all the three worlds appear to be, with all their components like space, time, action, substance, day and night. [4.2]
Yoga-Vasistha (YV) is not written as a systematic text. Its narrative jumps between various levels: psychological, biological, and physical. But since the Indian tradition of knowledge is based on analogies that are recursive and connect various domains, one can be certain that our literal reading of the passages is valid.
This is excerpts are from Prof. Subhash Kak’s research paper titled “Concepts of Space, Time, and Consciousness in Ancient India”
Enjoy Source code! Write one for your life – Meditate, Connect, Unveil – The Source Code.
PS : Yog Vasishth is one of the longest texts in Sanskrit (after the Mahabharat) and an important text of Yog. The book consists of about 32,000 shlokas (lines), including numerous short stories and anecdotes used to help illustrat its content.

Despite cozy summer afternoon, thanks to majority departures scheduled for INDIA, Newark Liberty International airport breathes high like how Husain bolt feels after running 100 m sprint or Phelps after swimming 100 m butterfly sprint due to sudden rush of adrenalin (Indians) rushing towards heartland (INDIA).
Overwhelming emotions about meeting relatives, eating spicy food and relaxing at ancestral home in INDIA stir up Indians abroad so much that they start feeling Mumbai’s hustle-bustle from Newark airport and in between, it is not unusual to hear announcements like this: “We request passenger Mr. Bharatkumar Deshputre travelling to Mumbai by Indian Airlines flight IT 24 to report immediately at terminal 3D”
“Hey Bricks, what’s up dude!”
“Hey Sam! How are ya?”
“I am fine…India? Suddenly? What are you upto?”
“Oh man…it sucks…parents calling…compulsion…bing-ing(searching) for bride. Shit job. Hot climate, shoddy environment and same old Indian politics and media…I am going to having my worst vacation in hell after I moved to United State 10 years back!”
“Oh yeah! I do remember Deshputre landed at JFK airport with me. Chill yaar..do visit Goa..I heard they now have everything you want to chill out like vegas. Have maximum fun!”
“Whatever…it will be shit. India is like that only.”
After 10 minutes, at immigration counter.
“Good afternoon sir.”
“Good afternoon, where are you going?”
“India”
“Home?”
“Yeah..kind of..”
“So..not happy going back to home?”
“No no..sir, I am very happy. I was eagerly waiting for this day!”
Officer winked because he just came across one more hypocrite Asian in front of him. There is a reason for officer’s frustration.
“But your body-language says something else”
“No sir, trust me.”
“You know, what is your problem Mr. Bharatkumar Deshhputare. You don’t know how to lie. I just unintentionally overheard you talking with your friend about Indian shit in rest room”
“*Oh shit!* Sorry sir.”
“You better be. I know why you are in such pathetic stage.”
“I am really sorry sir”
“You are raised in India but never shown Bharat”
“Bharat?”
“Yeh, Bharat. That charm of speaking ‘Bharat’ by living like ‘Bharatiya’ cannot come when you speak ‘India’ and live like an Indian which is nothing but blind imitation of us i.e westerners. I see more Indians and less Bharatiya during my day job as immigration officer. Let me tell you something great about your pathetic country India. ‘भारत’ is derived from ‘भा’ which means Prakash or Gyaan and ‘रत:’ means ‘immersed’. ‘भारत’ : Person or community fully devoted to knowledge! How can someone feel this by only speaking ‘INDIA’ and living like ‘Indian’- a blind & shallow makeover? You guys are uprooted from your culture silently. Situation is so pitiable that now you really don’t have any identity.”
“But sir, I am now American citizen”
“That is more pathetic. Being an American Citizen doesn’t entitle you American Culture. For example, you spat chewing gum carelessly in rest room which did not go into dust bin and you ignored it, your talk with your friend in rest room was highly uncivilized, you did not wash your hands(!), you came late for immigration process, you lied to me, you wasted my time, and now you wasted airline’s time.190 passengers’ time as well. This is not American way of living. What you represent to me is nothing but immigrant, attracted by living comforts of west, who adapted diluted form of capitalism & free economy in name of American Culture. I suggest you become Bharatiya first.”
“Sir, please clear status of Mr. Bharat Deshputre. We are late to take off” requested Indian Airlines official.
Sweating & shell-shocked Bharat aka Bricks boarded plane with one of his hardest lessons of lifetime.
Immigration officer Mr. Rick Jack is Sanskrit scholar teaching Sanskrit in weekends at Department of Languages at New York state university. One of his students(Physics and Information Sci. Major) recently solved Einstein’s twin paradox and gave credit for his breakthrough to Sanskrit scriptures learnings.
Mr Rick Jack considers himself Bharatiya American (American who is immersed in knowledge) unlike Indian American or Afro-American or Mexican American but like Bharatiya Gujarati, Bharatiya Marathi & Bharatiya Bihari.
Living Bharatiya way of life abroad is awesome thing.Living Bharatiya way of life in Bharat is luckiest! Try it.
If you have read this post (666 words) in its entirety, you have my admiration and gratitude. Be well, do good work and keep in touch.
PS: I know there will be reactions/apprehensions/disgust/hate from NRI friends but trust me guys, you all are awesome. This was not about you. This is nothing but summary of scenes I observed on International airports in last decade. Cheers.

One good friend of mine shared his observation about me “You are becoming more and more “धार्मिक” (spiritual, righteous) day by day.Are you planning to become priest or what?”
I smiled(laughed inside) and replied “I am happy that you noticed it as it instills faith in this saying:’Possibilities for good changes never go unnoticed from pious eye sight.’ (and asking this question is first step for anyone to become धार्मिक) Is being धार्मिक a private social status that only priest and sant can acquire? Why did we make it exclusive for temple owners? I wonder, what is wrong in following धर्म (it doesn’t mean religion(s)) and becoming धार्मिक(not religious)? Don’t we aspire sustainable development, sustainable economy and sustainable environment? How do you achieve sustainment and equilibrium? What is wrong in finding ways to achieve sustainment?
What is wrong if I spare some time out of earning body ’s bread-butter and invest it for mind’s bread-butter? Isn’t it wise investment of scarce commodity i.e time? After all, it is rich mind who gives body an unique identity. Why are we afraid to nurture mind by becoming little more spiritual while we happily spend tons of time-lines of life to nurture body by becoming little more materialistic?
Isn’t healthy mind important for healthy living? Why should धर्म remain caged in religious beliefs, customs and rituals? Why should धर्म remain suffocated in book? Why not re-make life by living based on धर्म? Understanding धर्म is considered most shrillest adventure by my mind and I love to serve it.Being धार्मिक is fun, cool and I love to be called धार्मिक ! I wish and pray that soon धर्म reflects in all my कर्म! ”
He was convinced that “Being धार्मिक(not showing off as धार्मिक) is new and necessary status symbol and he must become धार्मिक.Its cool, its fun and its righteous!”
—————————————————————————–
Sanskrit word ‘Dharma’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Dhri’ or ‘Dhr’ meaning ‘that which upholds’ or ‘that which supports’ – Isn’t it louder than ’sustainable development’? How could expect change in environment, economy and life without becoming धार्मिक? Do you know why our sustainable world slogans “Plant Trees” or “Save Tiger” or “Feed Hungry” or “Educate Poors” remain mere Facebook status or forward emails? They are not uttered by धार्मिक!
—————————————————————————–

सत्यकाम is a research scientist from Bharat in Satya-Yug.He was selected as TimeTravelnaut(as if Astronaut?) by world time & space research center known as NARAD(NASA?).He was given task to narrate Kaliyug in details. Below is सत्यकाम’s transcript.
Surprised!Scary!Shallow!
- Dharma(they have different name “Religion” which is shallow conspiracy), truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, physical strength and memory- all are diminishing day by day!
- Wealth alone is considered the sign of a man’s good birth, proper behavior and fine qualities!
- Men and women live together merely because of superficial attraction!
- Success in business depends highly on deceit & Maya(They call it Ads, marketing, promotions here!).
- Womanliness and manliness are judged according to one’s expertise in sex!
- A man is known as a ब्राह्मण just by his wearing a thread!!
- A person’s propriety is seriously questioned if he does not earn a good living.
- And one who is very clever at juggling words is considered a learned scholar!!! (Disgusting idiots are being awarded Phds/doctorates for just word reschuffle!!)
- A person’s spiritual position is ascertained merely according to external symbols.(People in this time don’t chant ॐ but get satisfied by printing it on clothes)
- A person is judged unholy if he does not have money.
- Hypocrisy is accepted as virtue.(OMG!)
- Marriage is arranged simply by verbal agreement!!!(Shattered!)
- A person thinks he is fit to appear in public if he has merely taken a bath!!(Health and hygiene is least important for these morons!)
- A sacred place will be taken to consist of no more than a reservoir of water located at a distance.
- Beauty is thought to depend on one’s hairstyle.
- Filling the belly will become the goal of life, and one who is audacious is accepted as truthful.
- He who can maintain a family is regarded as an expert man, and the principles of religion are observed only for the sake of reputation.
- As the earth thus becomes crowded in this time, with a corrupt population, whoever among any of the social classes shows himself to be the strongest gains political power.
- Losing their wives and properties to such avaricious and merciless rulers, who behaves no better than ordinary thieves,I think, the citizens will flee to the mountains and forests.
- The citizens suffers greatly from cold, wind, heat, rain and snow. They are further tormented by quarrels, hunger, thirst, disease and severe anxiety.
- The maximum duration of life for human beings in Kali-yuga is mere fifty years!!!(I am 150!)
- The bodies of all creatures are greatly reduced in size.
- And Sanskrit is dying language! (you can understand as I wrote this in one famous and funny language called “English”)
I am touched.I have decided.I will not come back to Sat-yug. I will stay here and transform this time into my lovely sat-yug.
PS: Please forgive my bashful language.I can’t help.I had to describe picture as is with my true emotions.
*** This was his last message to NARAD.By that last sentence, सत्यकाम pulled off his time-travelnaut chip and disconnected from NARAD’s infiband.
