Why Worship Goddess Lakshmi,Saraswati and Durga?

Learnings, Shri Suktam, worship 2 Comments »

Aggressive Economy,Arrogant Education and Errant Army are more than enough to doom any society. Teach your child to worship Goddess Lakshmi,Saraswati and Kali – image of All-Inclusive wealth, Selfless Education and Moderated Army.

Woman’s mother portrayal as Goddess is greatest gift to human race by Bharatiya rishi scientists. There is no doubt that they were great psychiatrists.Think about it.

What do you see when you close your eyes and think about your mother? Care,Moderation,Love,Tenderness,Smile and such highest feminine virtues. Idolizing mightiest weapons of society wealth, knowledge and strength as Mother and worshiping them daily, condition  our mind with reverence for mother which in turns make us more responsible while using mightiest weapons. Think about it. I have shared just tip of iceberg. There is sea of psychological reasons why we must worship Lakshmi,Saraswati and Durga in daily routine.

Everyone cannot go to school of Economics to learn concept of wealth and Money but one can surely learn daily life economics by understanding Shri Suktam and worshiping Goddess Lakshmi: http://vediclearnings.com/category/shri-suktam/

Unfortunately, bearers of this  rich culture legacy are busy comparing Sheila vs Munni’s dance. Sad. Sigh.

Adhyay 8 : Shlok 9-10 : Meditation : How and why

Adhyay 8, Meditation, Yog, concentration No Comments »

One who meditates at the time of death with steadfast mind and
devotion on the Supreme Being (Para-Brahma) as the omniscient,
the oldest, the controller, smaller than the smallest (and bigger
than the biggest), the sustainer of everything, the inconceivable,
the self-luminous like the sun, and as transcendental (or beyond
the material reality) by making the flow of bioimpulses (Prana, life
forces) rise up to the middle of two eye brows by the power of
yoga and holding there, attains Me, the Supreme Divine Person.

References:

Those who engage in yogic practices reach the breathless state of

trance (Sam|dhi) by offering inhalation into exhalation and

exhalation into inhalation as a sacrifice (by using short breathing

Kriya techniques). (4.29)

———————-

A sage is, in truth, liberated by renouncing all sense enjoyments,

fixing the eyes and the mind (at an imaginary black dot) between

the eye brows, equalizing the breath moving through the nostrils

, keeping the senses, mind, and intellect

under control, having salvation (Mukti) as the prime goal, and

becoming free from lust, anger, and fear. (5.27-28)

———————-

One should sit by holding the waist, spine, chest, neck, and head

erect, motionless and steady; fix the eyes and the mind steadily on

the tip (or front) of the nose without looking around; make your

mind serene and fearless, practice celibacy; have the mind under

control, think of Me, and have Me as the supreme goal.

(6.13-14)

**The aim of yogic practice

is to achieve the super conscious or breathless state of trance

(Samadhi) by gradually mastering the breathing process.

**Breathing is a vital life process. It is fuel for living. By regulating breathing and focusing on this process, one can conquer the mind!

Therefore, always remember Me and do your duty. You shall certainly attain Me if your mind and intellect are ever focused on Me.

Whatever object one remembers as one leaves the body at the end of life, one attains that object, O Arjuna, because of the constant thought of that object (one remembers that object at the end of life and achieves it).

Insights:

One more master piece explaining human psyche! You become one with whom you long for, all the time! The like attracts the like and repels the unlike. One’s destiny is determined by the predominant thought we dwell into. Life should be molded in such a way that one should always understand and remember the purpose of life.

“Take up one idea.

Make that one idea your life –

Think of it,

Dream of it,

Live on idea.

Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone.

This is the way to success!”

~ Swami Vivekanand

“What’s the most resilient parasite?

An Idea.

A single idea from the human mind can build cities.

An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.”

~ Movie “Inception”

Death (of moment, sleep, and life) is a new beginning. Focus on single idea. The kernel. The vital. Attain it.

The one who remembers Me exclusively, even while leaving the body at the time of death, attains Me; there is no doubt about it.
